A song in honor of the season of lent.

We wrote this song in honor of the season of lent. We drew inspiration of this song from the movie "The Passion of the Christ" This the most powerful song (both lyric and music wise) that we have ever written to this day. This song has not been released on the radio and we are releasing it here as a Multiply Site exclusive. This song is included in our debut album "In Awe of His Amazing Love." which is still available at all Major Record bars nationwide and at House of Praise Music outlets nationwide. And then there were four

It seems that we are continuing to lose people. Thoughts And Notions guitarist Tim Marquez (pictured at the right wearing a dark blue shirt) has decided to leave the band due to geographical and family reasons. He has been with the band since the very first lineup and we are saddened to hear his departure. It was a very difficult decision for him to make, and as much as the band would want him to continue to stick around, geographical considerations just could not make his stay possible. Tim, who hails from Camiguin Island, has been the third member of the band who is from Camiguin and also left. Past members like former Vocalist/Guitarist John Fernandez and Drummer Jun2x Dychauco also hailed from Camiguin. John is currently setting up for a solo career while Jun2x Dychauco now sits as a Barangay Councilman in his native Camiguin town. The band is making all efforts to include them in the recording of the new album. Even though that they have already left the band, the remaining band members still considers them as part of the family.    

But unlike before, the band no longer considers auditioning for a new member. The band will carry on with the remaining members, thus now making them a four piece band... And then there were four!

The new Kevin Sardines jingle by Thoughts And Notions will be launched and played extensively from March to April.

Thoughts And Notions going bis-rock?

Has the band gone bis-rock (short for Bisaya-Rock)? Not necessarily. The band has been commissioned to write a Jingle for Kevin Sardines, a rising sardines brand in Cagayan de Oro City. At first, one wouldn't notice that the song is from Thoughts And Notions because the voice of the band's Lead Vocalist is nowhere to be found until the chorus parts where she plays backing vocals. Instead, the band's drummer Adonis Berongoy played the lead vocal chores. And secondly, the song is in the Visayan vernacular, contrasted to the band's other compositions which focuses in the english language. But one couldn't deny that the signature sound of the band is still being heavily laced in the track. Written and composed by Adonis himself, the Kevin Sardines Jingle is a humorous story of how a boy was able to discover a new sardines brand that is of high quality but inexpensive after his mom woke him up one morning and asked him to buy a canned sardines. The track is currently being played at 96.9 Love Radio in Cagayan de Oro 5x a day. I'm posting the track below for your listening pleasure.
