We never tried an unplanned gig before. But last saturday, we gave it a try. Because the gig with Ram Chavez Band at Energi Bar got cancelled for some unspecified reasons, the band decided to hang and chill out at Star Mart Gusa. Fortunately, Thrina knew one of the bands that was perfroming that night. Since the band was still amped up and energized to play, we decided to do a surprise Jam when the performing band went for an intermission. We asked permission from Thrina's friend if we could takeover the stage while they were having an intermission. Fortunately, he concurred. And we played 3 songs. 2 songs from the new album, Runaway Angel and Like Heaven, and a cover of a Katy Perry song. The adrenaline was different. Something new and something we haven't felt before. I guess that's how it feels when you do a surprise number. It has been a long night since we came from a wedding gig before the scheduled gig at Energi Bar got cancelled. But we are happy to have done that ambush gig. And we are thankful for being given that opportunity.
This coming April 25th won't be an ambush gig though. We'll be at SM Cagayan de Oro for an Earth Day Jam gig. We would also be selling our new album in our gigs.
