Greetings…

I hope this email has found its way to a member of the band “Thoughts and Notions”. My name is Tim Dodson, a pastor in the US and president of Shofar Missions INC on Cebu . We have a radio station near Lutopan, Cebu (mid-island) with extremely good reach due to our location on top of the second highest mountain on Cebu . The station is alternative/pop/rock Christian with teaching also. (non-commercial). We also have a station here in the US that is directed toward our local university, (“BURNING DOG RADIO” - WRJF 101.7FM). I found your music online, and if you can get it to us in a high quality format, we will play you on the Cebu station (we can push your CD also if you give info for us to make a promo) and we can possibly play you here in the US also. Let me know your thoughts. If you are open to this, we will discuss further. No cost or anything…we are just looking for good music and we exist to further the kingdom of God . Hope to hear from you.

When I received this from my email, I couldn't believe that someone outside Cagayan de Oro, much less a person outside the country would find our songs interesting. It has been our dream to share our songs not only in our church, but also as far as where the wind would allow it to be blown away. It has almost been 5 years since we first stroke the first chord of our songs out of the passion of wanting to help raise funds for our church's youth group. And 5 years apart, we are now set to release the follow up album to that record that started it all. It has been a long journey. Our music has taken us to places outside Cagayan de Oro. Though we might not have achieved the same level of success that some bands are currently achieving, still we are heartened to know that in small ways, people get to listen to our songs through the internet. I could still get a number of emails from people outside Cagayan de Oro and give us good comments of our songs. I guess all it needs is a little bit more exposure. A small whisper that we hope could effect a ripple in the big vast ocean of music.

I believe it would be a bold step for us to be able to share our songs in this kind of magnitude even if it's playing at a local university. After all, it is small steps such as this which took us to where we currently stand now. According to Pastor Dodson, they have already began playing our songs in their Radio Stations and they are planning to set up a concert for us in Cebu sometime this summer. If things would go as planned, this interview would be taped with the intention of making it as one of the means of promoting the planned concert. They have already hosted other OPM Christian Rock bands before. This would only mark as our second out of town major concert (the first being the Metro Manila trip way back in 2007). I think everything has been pretty well mapped up as we set to release our album. By February, we will be having a Church tour that would take us to 5 different churches here in Cagayan de Oro. Thanks in large part to Golden City Alliance Fellowship for giving us an opportunity to join them in their fund raising efforts for their church. For years now, I've been wanting to go on a church tour. I believe my prayers were granted. We are still looking out for invitations from other churches. We sincerely would love to share our songs to all of you.

We hope that more blessings would continue to come to our band. Please do also pray for us. We will really appreciate it =)

One last thing, do check out the link Pastor Dodson sent us for more information about their group. It'll bring a smile to your faces.
